We’ve narrated the story of the evolution of EzzyBooks to our clients and partners several times here at our North Atlanta, Georgia office and got a lot of positive feedbacks. A lot of people asked us to put it online for the world to read. So we decided that it was about time we introduce EzzyBooks properly to the world. Up until now we have let the application and its capabilities speak louder than words. In this modest fashion we will proceed with presenting to you EzzyBooks’s journey from infancy to adulthood.

EzzyBooks SaaS App Inception

The EzzyBooks App story begins back in October 2010, when Kelvin Taku started Cotek Systems. Kelvin was a Freelancer and was busy flying around executing projects for clients. When it came to billing clients, Word and Excel were frustrating to use and weren’t built to create professional looking invoices. He decided to try Intuit QuickBooks. Needless to say that if you are a busy Freelancer or Small Business Owner, QuickBooks was the worst tool for you. As Martin LeBlanc put it “A user interface is like a joke. If you have to explain it, it’s not that good.” QuickBooks was a bad joke. You needed to go back to school or hire an Accountant to learn how to use QuickBooks. No kidding. Knowing there had to be a better and EASY way, Kelvin decided to create it himself. A solution that had the capabilities of QuickBooks but easy to use. A solution that was tailored for Freelancers and Small Business Owners. Kelvin started working on the project day and night (including weekends), trying to come up with cool features and a user-friendly interface. Over the next one month without writing a single line of code, he designed a solution that is both easy to use and highly secured. The solution became the foundation of EzzyBooks App. Back then it was called Sleek Invoice and was launched on Office 365 App Store.

From Sleek Invoice to EzzyBooks App

Sleek Invoice has garnered tremendous success for its billing solution and that is why the product got rebranded as EzzyBooks. The rebranding initiative help leverage the brand equity and simplify the EzzyBooks LLC go-to-market strategy around one platform and corporate name. EzzyBooks now serve as both the company and solution name. We now implement our marketing, communications and sales engagement initiatives under the EzzyBooks brand. Having been a startup ourselves we knew the headache of invoicing, tracking expenses and ensuring timely payments of clients in order to maintain a healthy cash flow. In an effort to keep up with the challenges that a modern business faces every day to keep track of its finances we took it upon ourselves to completely rebrand and rebuild Sleek Invoice into a full fledged Online Billing and Accounting Software call EzzyBooks. Each and every aspect and functionality of the product has been optimized and polished. Issues with the old system (Sleek Invoice) has been resolved, and an overall improved and supercharged user experience has been created. A modern responsive user interface that speaks for itself. Sleek Invoice was and it’s still a great product and people love it. We are confident you'll love EzzyBooks even more because;
